Özlem Süer was born in Istanbul in 1968. She'd always been interested in the fine arts and fashion since she was a child. In 1989, she earned her bachelor's degree in Textile Department at Marmara University. She then went on to Mimar Sinan University to finish her master's degree. In 1991, Süer started working at Mimar Sinan University as a research assistant. In the year 2000, she was promoted to Assistant Professor.
She had a fashion show in Düsseldorf in 2002. Süer has since staged over 25 fashion shows in Turkey and abroad, including Düsseldorf, Tokyo, Milano, London, Paris, and Berlin. Süer is currently employed as a professor at consultative committee in Mimar Sinan University. She is a creative direction consultant for various brands as well as for her own brand at the Özlem Süer. Her collections are available in 60 boutiques worldwide.
