Mehtap Elaidi was born in 1964 in Istanbul. She studied Business at Bogazici University.
After a career in marine insurance and a stint as a notarized translator she decided to follow her dream and opened her namesake brand in 2000
In a short period of time, her unique patterns became the brand’s trademark and she acquired a loyal customer base of accomplished Istanbulites.
Mehtap Elaidi was the president of Turkish Designers Association for 6 years and is now a board member of Turkish Clothing Manufacturers’ Association; she has been working towards strengthening and promoting the Turkish fashion industry since 2010.
