He was born in 1994 in Istanbul. He completed his education at FMV Isik University Faculty of Fine Arts / Fashion & Textile Design department.
Between 2010 – 2012, he worked with designer Arzu Kaprol and then decided to formally establish his own brand “Mert Erkan” in 2014.
Managing his education and business life simultaneously, Erkan reinforced his experiments during this time and graduated in 2016.
He has performed his professional fashion show within the scope of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul in 2016 and he has continued to participate in every season until this time.
In addition, he supported by Vietnam International Fashion Week and Laos Fashion Week committees and he represented Turkey as the only Turkish young designer.
