Born in Istanbul and educated in Chicago, Tuba Ergin attended college and majored in fashion design. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and completed the fashion design and marketing program at La Salle College.
Following her graduation, she worked and consulted for top Turkish fashion houses and brands such as Network, Desa, Lacoste, Koton, and Us Polo. She was fluent in four languages and worked on international markets with a variety of stores and companies. Groupe Beaumanoir (Morgan, Cache-Cache, Bonobo) from France, Lacoste, Celio, Promod, Zu Elements from Italy, Inditex Brands from Spain, and Debenhams from England To name a few, George Next and H&M from Sweden.
After gaining strong background while traveling and working all over the world, she decided to launch her first brand, Garden of Denim Design G.O.D.D, in 2010; a premium eco-sustainable denim brand. GODD was an instant success, with 72 high-level sales points in seven countries including Japan, Korea, Italy, Spain, Canada, Greece, and Germany.
In 2014, she launched her own brand, TUBA ERGIN, a contemporary designer label based in Istanbul. She began actively participating in Istanbul Fashion Week with her new brand. Ergin's collections are inspired by all types of art, nature and natural materials, technology, and street culture, and are designed for extraordinary, strong, environmentally conscious, and refined women. Her designs are focused on innovation, experimentation, sustainability, and wearability.
