St. Mark's Square, a place that has not hosted any fashion show until now - surprisingly - witnessed the fashion feast last week. The Italian luxury duo gave the message "this is how couture is done" by signing a collection that stays in harmony with the Gothic architecture of Venice. At the Alta Fashion show in Venice, the Italian fashion duo unveiled Collezione Genesi, a nine-piece NFT collection produced in collaboration with UNXD, a marketplace for digital luxury curation.
Collezione Genesi, the new collection of the Duo of Dolce and Stefano, consists of two dresses, a suit, and two crowns. Although these pieces look like physical creations, they also have digital replicas. Shashi Menon, founder, and CEO of UNXD, thinks the star pieces will be of interest to crypto investors. NFTs, which have become it-item of the high fashion scene since last year, are getting stronger against fast fashion day by day.
UNXD plans to auction not only these pieces, but also other items closely related to Dolce & Gabbana's couture collection. Dolce & Gabbana's original drawings will be included in the auction package, as will access to future fashion shows, as well as two-week installations at the brand's flagship store in Milan with the collector's name on display, and a two-week installation at the owner's preferred Dolce & Gabbana store anywhere in the world.
In addition to all these, there are four more offers that are planned to be presented digitally only. One of them is red emerald, tiara made of neon turquoise tourmaline and a signature jacket. UNXD also aims to introduce all these pieces in as sustainable an environment as possible. Building its foundations on the blockchain Polygon, which consumes almost 99% less energy than Bitcoin and Ethereum, UNXD aims to achieve maximum efficiency while making your digital investments.
