Nejla Güvenç is the pioneer of the "sustainability in fashion” vision in Turkey. Took place in Turkey's leading brand design teams for many years. The first and only designer prepared organic collection in Turkey; the designs, which she prepared using sustainable and organic fabrics and evaluated as “Ecological Movement”, created the environmentally friendly Nej brand in 2002, while being used or destroyed “For a Sustainable Life in the World” and continues its design journey with the principles of sustainability.

The designer, supported by ITKIB, gained the right to be a design consultant authorized by TURQUALITY®, the world's first and only state-sponsored branding program.

TOBB Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Creative Industries Council Vice President, YEKON Council's Creative Industries Association Vice-President Nejla Güvenç, has won to be the second of "Turkey's Woman Entrepreneur" contest in 2011 in "Most Promising Women Entrepreneurs" category, organized in cooperation with Garanti Bank, the Economist magazine and the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGIDER)

In 2011, she became the only Turkish female entrepreneur selected as a role model in the “10,000 Women Entrepreneurs” project, supported by Goldman Sachs and conducted by Harvard University and The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.

In 2014, Nejla Güvenç succeeded in becoming one of the 24 women whose success story was published in the book "Women Entrepreneurs with Inspirational Stories in Emerging and Developing Economies" taught at the Joseph H. Lauder Institute in Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. The book, originally titled "Women Entrepreneurs Inspiring Stories From Emerging Economies And Developing Countries", was taught as a "casebook" in the "Entrepreneurship Course" at the Joseph H. Lauder Institute at The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania within the scope of the international management program which guides and inspires students who want to be an entrepreneur.

Nejla Güvenç, one of the four designers selected from different countries in the "Hope Couture" project organized by the United Culture organization; she represented Turkey as an ambassador of culture and fashion. In 2013 supported the first ever UNESCO's World Culture Expo in Turkey has represented our country.
