Turkish designer Cihan Nacar, exhibited his latest FW21 collection in Fashion Week Istanbul. It carries the traces of Nacar's Renaissance era inspiration. The ‘Divine’ series combines vivid and bright colours with fluffy type fabrics to create a work of art.
Cihan Nacar, who has made a huge impression with his work each season, spoke about the time that inspired his new collection, saying, "Rinascere, which means rebirth, has always made an everlasting impression on me. Since it is a golden age in which people everyone seems to enjoy life more, raise awareness by giving importance to their appearance from clothing to make-up, and rediscover and emerge beauty elements inherited from ancient times, the Renaissance has left a lasting mark on culture. Draperies and dress folds, were modeled by ancient sculptures and emphasized with an anachronistic approach during the Renaissance era. For me, this is a very unique time because it is the first time that artists placed their own signatures on their works, and the artist's presence stands out and gains significance. Their works, and the artist's presence stands out and gains significance."
The collection's display, which features both domestic and international models, was conceptualized as a visual format rather than a fashion show. In a historic Turkish Bath, a 16-hour video shoot took place. The collection's key colour, which was previously dominated by fuchsia, green, red, and purple, was changed to yellow. Şevval Şahin, Buse İskenderoğlu, and Kayra are wellknown models.
